"I know Tim from Harvard University's Kennedy School where we were students together. He is a kind and caring person and someone willing to fight for his ideas. These are important personal qualities I believe to consider when endorsing someone. Whether Tim is Democrat or Republican is not my concern. He is the right kind of politician who will remain devoted to his constituents and dedicated to his cause. His good heart and his brilliant mind will make him a responsible decision maker and a confident leader.
"I endorse him, because I believe in his potential and capacity to be a strong representative for Southern Arizona, and because, while I represent Denmark in the UN Security Council, I know he will be an ally in fighting for a more secure and just world."
Michael Starbaek Christensen
First Secretary, Denmark's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, New York
Michael Christensen has a Law Degree from University of Copenhagen, 1993 and an MPA from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, 2004. His 10 years in the Danish Foreign Service has mainly focused on Russia, European Union and Security Policy. From Sept. 1, he will be part of the core team leading Denmark's efforts as member of the United Nations Security Council in 2005-06.
